OPTIV feat. RYMETYME – RUN IT RED (NEONLIGHT REMIX)
With a highly polished sound as bright and attention grabbing as their name suggests, NEONLIGHT are a pair of German producers about to start seriously getting noticed. Stepping up to deliver a double dose of goodness – no B side filler here – for RED LIGHT RECORDS, this release reveals the reason that their dubs can be heard in an increasing amount of A list DJ sets. Not satisfied with simply remixing Run it Red, NEONLIGHT have stripped it back to its essence in order to rebuild in their own inimitable image, leaving little untouched: existing samples are edited, new ones are added, and the intro is rearranged to increase the impact of the drop. The extra ‘oomph’ it now contains will delight any dance floor, while this remix also doubles as an example to all producers out there of how to properly stamp your style and sound on a piece of music.

Joined by the recently deceased and sadly missed HEDJ on the flip, the result is the hyperkinetic Hammerhead. More than just proof of precision engineering, this is a tune impossible to ignore.
