My favourite episode was the LONDON > NODNOL backwards episode as a kid, or the one where they had the virtual reality machine with dwayne dibbly!

brah. bro. buddy. michael. have you actually seen the "new" (well, new and new, its like 5 years old at least) red dwarf series. its nearly 100% the same, only with more cheap CGI and "acting" like sensitive scenes, with real pathos, such as when lister reads books to space, because thats where his dead girlfriend was buried, in a talking to himself kind of way, i think you see what mean. only i dont actualy remember him ever having one, cept for that shape shifter in s1 (you know the one) and those scenes are totally serious, without a trace of irony or humour, its clearly them wanting room for more "acting". the rest is exactly the same, the humour hasnt changed one bit, which is such poor taste, bad form, tactless, respectless, pathetic, because the cast is now 40 years older, but they have decided to dress them all up in the exact same outfits. listers got fake dreads on the back of his leather cap. the years have not been entirely kind to any of them. i wonder how many episodes they got in before it got cancelled really really hard
