Nothing fixes warped records.
Whatever straightens it out compromises the sound quality by distorting the shape of the grooves.

Not strictly true, fair enough they may not be perfect like they used to be but you can definitely make an unplayable record playable again. Ive done it. If I remember correctly, you argued against it then aswell.
Just coz a record is warped so you cant cue it for example doesnt mean it should be thrown away or turned into a bowl or some shit, at least try and repair it so it can be played.
