Recording video if mixing

Hi all,

When recording a video of yourself mixing, do you still record through a usual prgram like audacity then just put the recorded over the video? or is the recording on iphone good enough? How is it done properly?

I would record the sound via audacity and then just play it over the video, sound quality aint that bad on the iphone but still not good enough to listen to say a 10 min mix

windows movie maker will do a fairly good job without having to learn video editing
