hey, I have just started dabbling with various bits of software for production, I have become very fond of Reason 2.5 + Acid Pro. I have Cubase SX 2.0 but I can't figure it out, and don't intend to learn how to use the damn thing, what's puzzling me is VST instruments;

can i use vst plugins with Reason or do I _have_ to use cubase?

any help would be apprieciated.

cheers.

You can not use VST's directly in Reason as is possible in Cubase. You could try to rewire them in some kind of way, but i'm not an expert, somebody else knows probably how to explain this clearly.

Reason does not support VST instruments or plugins... it's just about the *only* professional audio program that doesnt.

It is possible to re-wire reason into Cubase, Logic or Pro Tools... which *do* support VST, but there is no direct connection between Reason & VST... just a host that can run both at the same time.

It is not possible to rewire reason with any VST plugins... VST plugins do not support rewire.

It is possible to rewire reason and rebirth....

*getting a bit annoyed with constantly typing "re"...*
