I'm sure many might agree wiv me or disagree but if ya a die hard drum n bass fan and ur at a rave waitin hours 4 da big Dj's 2 turn up i.e "Hype", "Andy C" n Mampi, (actually mampi ur 2 kronik!!) ever bin a bit dissapointed. Personally I feel da bouncy darkside kronik thumping bassline and sometimes I ain't gettin enuff of dat at raves. I ain't hating I swear but sum of da big Dj's need consider der selection b4 dey turn up at da rave. U Wiv me?? :rave:

so you want some more of the bouncier, harder beats? what about those of us who're stoked that we're finally getting shit-tons of liquid at parties? it's about time that we get some representation. don't get me wrong, i like my hard stuff but it's nice to finally hear some of my fave liquid tunes being played at 4am.

i consider myself to be a lover of the harder beats but recently saw the light of the other side...
we recently had shy fx w: skibba play here in perth to a ramjammed sold out trafik@Heat. i went along knowing full well the spectrum this guy can play and expected to be outside enjoying fresh air and a breather at sometime during the set (when he delved into the liquid/smoother side). i didn't leave the balcony all set. even the smoother stuff he played had me in the groove and i didnt want to miss whatever was coming up next.

i think the thread author needs to recognise that he/she was damn lucky to see three big names like that at one event. also, said thread author should lay off the crack/meth because i'm sure mampi, andy c and hype wouldn't all play liquid tunes back to back all set for three sets long.
    bad form "mc haka"

so who exactly where you referring to if you weren't referring to Hype, Andy C and Mampi?

also, if you want more of "da bouncy darkside kronik thumping bassline" then i suggest you change the dj's you sniff around after. try the dj's that are known for the harder edged beats. not the give-the-crowd-what-it-wants dj's becauswe the crowd doesn't want two hours of dark stuff these days. your stuck in 97-99 pal.

if you had of taken some time to write a proper post we could have understood it better. you live (and probably schooled) in the country that spawned the language and you can't even type a full post properly.

i suggest you go get that hit and calm down, little boy... or are you waiting on your next dole/social?

feel the music dude......when you hng out all night at a gig.....learn to listen to it all..not just the big names...everyone starts somewhere and the up and commers are there for a reason. even roni mampi and andy had to start somewhere....if your whole night focuses on just the big names...well where's your sense of adventure?

theres no need for all of this attitude gentlemen, ive seen people get barred from this forum for less abuse than youve given peeps. @ Haka, ease up the beefs. :shake:

Ill agree with you with reference to the lack-lustre tunes the big boys are playing, I heard friction play at renegade hardware last week, an his tune selection was weak as a new born bambino.

When i go out raving, i wanna hear grimey basslines an gutter beats, when you got 3-4 liquid tune b2b in a set, i get bored an cant be arsed to bounce about like a lunatic.

So many of the djs around now get such a variety of bookings for a spectrum of events, they have to tailor there sets to suit each party, I feel a few of the big names structure a 'universal' set with a balance of liquid, tech, jumpup, old skool jungle, all in one set so they can play the same set at several events without having to dig through the crate for the next outting.

If I see Mampi swift in february an then in March, i dont wanna hear a carbon copy of the same set at both events (by the way I used mampi as an example, I feel he keeps it fresh imo )

    Wow, cool!

All that this thread now needs is some Bad Company and DSL hating and you have yourselves a DOA grade thread!

Acutally DOA seems to have calmed down a bit since I was last there *knock on wood*.

i assume this post was directed towards me??
can you please quote or address your posts directly?

    you have anger issues mate.
whats the matter, did your g/f leave you for an older guy or someone that has an appreciation for music other than dnb?
maybe it was someone that doesn't sit around all day waiting for fortnightly thursdays whilst wacking off to porn?

*waits eagerly for reply which will no doubt be totally rad*
