    right!
my latest assignemnt for the music tech course im undergoing, required to take an existing song, and reproduce it, using only synthesised sounds..
(this last bit is important, eh.!)
also, the brief said that our arrangement could follow the original closely, or it could be a radical rework..
So, what better tune to remix, than Slayer's classic "Rainign Blood"..!
    :slayer:

My version is at a dnb tempo, tho it sounds more like tekno (yes, teKno, with a K..some of you should know the difference..if not just ask!)
im not really expecting to get signed with this one, but i have been laughing my arse off with it, and i got a certain mate, happy hardcore dj, who im pretty sure will rinse in his sets!

so there, its only 160 kbps, and teh d/l takes about 10 seconds on a decent connection, so no excuse not to have this EXCLUSIVE DUBPLATE... :teef:

Enjoy, and if any of you got any constructive critisism, shoot... no, "metal sucks" kind of comments, or i'll bite ya..!
    peace

Funny, sound like a midi version!
    :)
A touch less reverb on the keys perhaps?

no reverb, everything was synthesized..the only effect used was distortion for the guitars and a bit on the kickdrum..

midi version? well, midi was used indeed, is not as if id play everything, record and arrange it..! thank fuck fo reason!

I meant it sounds as Raining Blood was translated into midi, back in the day... and played using synth sounds, which is the effect you wanted.

Must be the distortion I'm hearing, no delay?

production forum is for ones who want to showcase dnb tunes that they are proud of and believe will make em one day rich and famous DJ/producers...

This, on the other hand, is a travesty of a rmx, which started its life as a stressfull university assignment, and ended up beeing the laughing stock of my class, and soon of this forum... hence it falls under the waffle category, kthnxbye

and you good sir, any idea what sending medium will you be able to download from work ? i might just do a special for you..cant have everyone laughing at me without mr Logikz

    peace

    haha!! cheers mang,
the course is Popular Music & Recording, at Salford University.
its propably the most popular course in the country for non classical studies, so if you wanna get into it, id suggest you apply soon as, even now it might be already full for next year!!
but its worth it, the studios are top notch, both analog and digital equipment, most tutors are well sound, and they take pride in the fact that theres no genre critisism..quite a few people are making rave styles, and we're a nice lil family here!!
