Do you like the way radio 1 only play the same DNb tunes? Dont mind Crazy World but Pendulum are making want to rip my hair out, maybe a bit of variety to get me through my day at work!?

I hate these odd tunes being dropped on radio one, no need for the commercialisation of it...enjoy having set radio shows dedicated to dnb but when you have that irish geezer dropping dnb after the spice girls, it pisses me off!!

personally i dnt mind it tht much, what annoys me is when they play the new pendulum stuff n call it dnb cos it aint at all! if a radio1 dj "drops" a dnb choon and is like i like this song... then what is the harm in that?

i spose alot of the tunes played are A, B, and C listed and more recently tunes like tear you down and pieces have become B listed so it might not even be the DJ's fault at all.

i like the scene being underground just as much as anybody but only in dnb wud u get people complaining about tunes played being promoted. lol

i know what your saying and im all for getting people into dnb and i cant understand how people dont like dnb (which really pisses me off too!!) but what makes me complain, and i know people like this, is that you will say i listen to dnb to someone and they will turn around and go oh i like dnb i heard that pendulum choon on radio 1 at work..i wanna slap them in the face with a wet fish, they dont like dnb they like commercial overplayed music they can put on their ipod..

i want it to stay underground and away from radio 1 simply because i dont want the masses to get hold of dnb because its fashionable to listen to it, not because they love it and they pretend they know all about it...these are the people who have fucked up music, fickle vultures...rant over!!

count urself lucky, in my office its either magic or radio 2! i swear if i hear "are we humans or are we dancers" one more time im gonna drop a machete on their arses!

totally agree, ive been a junglist for almost 3 years now. alot of my m8s at skool didnt get it and used to take the piss a bit. now theyre all like "lets go ram @ matter" and talking bout how sick dubstep is...

it makes me think that theyre just jumping on the bandwagon of whats fashionable but tbh i used to be a bit like that b4 i was into dnb. slam by pendulum was the only thing tht i knew of dnb wen my bro came home from a rave going on bout how sick it was. but he showed me sum more shit and i took the time to research what this shit was and i ended up loving it. so if it wasnt for my mates being like "listen to slam by pendulum" i wuda probly been like "what the fuck is this crap" when my bro showed me some twisted shit...

meh the way i see it ur right to slap people with a salmon if they claim to be junglists but only like pendulum and c&s etc... but it dnt reli matter tht much to me cos you can tell hu the real ravers and shkers r. and as long as we have each other thats all that count... now lets machete this machete and get macheteing

Radio 1 do it in all genres, they have a playlist of about 100 tunes that they play over and over for 2 weeks, then move on to another 100 songs, that why you only hear songs that are 2 weeks old, and then never hear them again until the better ones move onto radio 2 a few years later.

But as for the commercial side, I speak for myself and I can bet a lot of people on here, who started listening to DNB with the likes of Pendulum & TC, and then got dragged into the really good stuff.

Everyone must have got into the more underground parts of the dnb scene somehow, and if it's by hearing some Brookes brothers and High contrast on Radio 1, then thats just as good reason as someone who stumbled into an Innovation event thinking it was a science presentation

    This.

Plus artists like brookes brothers, high contrast, chase & status will get paid royalties everytime their tracks are played on the radio.
