There's a few replies to some posts been made recently which in my opinion are either outrightly racist or with very obvious racial subtexts...

I'm not gonna start to explain why racism is bad, and why diversity is good, I wouldn't think I've have to.

Do you think Drum & Bass would exist without it?

but I'm also not just carry on posting replies, ignoring racist comments that have been made before.

Britain's no stranger to racial tensions (which most cities, and people have mangaged to overcome) or race riots.

If certain people think race riots are a good thing I'm sure your local BNP will put you in touch with some like minded 'friends'.

Shit, they can probably help you stir up some tensions and start one in your own area.

Racism is generally a good indicator of low social status and frustration including sexual, i.e. repressed homosexuality as well as status related frustration.

If the only thing that you can be 'proud' is your skin colour or origin, thats what you will be clinging to.

Like D said, there wouldn't dnb without people of different races coming together.

I agree to an extent, but racism has also been very prevalent in the ruling classes throughout history. Much aggression that has happened could not have without their say so. John Howard is also culpable for the decline in our race relations in australia, for example

Also, the riot suburbs of Cronulla and Maroubra are solidly upper middle class suburbs, as most beachside is in sydney. 'Westies' are not tolerated very well on a lot of them, and beaches are not free of class and suburb prejudices.

as for drumn bass in Australia, not as multicultural as it could be, in terms of truly representing the population. but still pretty good compared to many other scenes, it is more welcoming i feel.

Like I said. Just a few replies to a few posts, which jarred when I read them.

I didn't want to point fingers or give anyone the reaction they may want, or draw attention to individual comments particularly.

Just raise the issue.

This is a very serious issue, being addressed right now.
I'd just like to echo what mesh said, we take any offensive or aggressive behaviour very seriously. There has been much discussion about 'said' users between DnbForum Admin's and Moderators.

The dnbforum heads were well aware of what was going on for a while, but we had to take time to consider what going down and who was doing it, in order to be accurate in taking action.
Don't worry, the dnbforum police is in full effect, big brother is watching you :teeth:
