Quiet 1210.

I picked up some second hand mk2 1210's a few weeks back, went to record a mix last night and the one table is ridiculously quiet... Everything sounds ok through my speakers though?
I'd guess that the quiet table is older than the other, as there are more marks/scratches compared to the other.

Considering sending it off for a service, but I can't help but think getting another of ebay would be a cheaper option after courier fees, parts, etc.

Just wondering if anyone on here has dealt with anything similair, or knows a possible solution?
Help appreciated this is pissing me off!

Might be the mixer mate. Swap them round and see if the same problem occurs

servicing a 1210 isn't that much of an expense, but probably a necessity if you havent owned the decks from new.

Everything's set up sound, and it's def not the mixer.
Generally how much is a service? Can't find any clues online.

Have you checked your mixers line/phono settings? Had the same problem recently and found one of the decks set to line.

Have you tried swapping the decks inputs around? If the same decks still quiet, it's a deck problem. If the other deck is now quiet, it's a mixer problem.

Also have you tried swapping the cartridges to see if one is faulty?
