DnB QUESTION ABOUT MAKING DRUMS! PLZ HELP!

Hey guys, does anyone know how to do this?

In neurofunk especially, in the 2nd set of 16 bars, often a kind of hit sounding like a ghost snare or a transposed up kick will be heard between the main kick and snare in fast repetition, making the drums sound more banging as the tune progresses. I've tried a lot of different one-shot hits but my drums sound like some joker is tap dancing over the track. Please help!

sounds like a lo passed kick that has been pitched up.
