producing on a Laptop

Does anyone produce on a laptop? I'm buying one soon and I also want to start producing, so was just wondering if there were any laptops to look out for.

Not really interested in macs because they are a bit too expensive.

I don't really know the preferable specs for a comp that you produce on, but I take it that a good sound card is a good place to start. any help is welcomed!

yeah u can make choonz on a laptop, that is my current set up, I have an Acer Aspire (5920 i think) 3GB RAM, 1.8x2 duo core processor, 250 GB Hard drive, just make sure u get something that is fast and has a lot of memory, depending on what program u use it will need to be decent, I got mine for about £400 and its done me well (but i still need to upgrade my soundcard!)
