prodigy and their awesome fucking drums

i'm looking for a really punchy kit, obviously similar to the prodigy's kits in songs like spitfire, breathe, their law, etc. i can't seem to find samples that hit hard enough without sounding like a slightly muffled fart. please help
 
I like their fucking drums too. Look at the ableton videos recreating firestarter, it's mainly breaks being parallel compressed.

Think prodigy use a lot of chopped up breaks with samples layered on top and obviously a lot of processing on top. I doubt the orginal samples used will sound like what you hear in the songs. If you're new to producing the only thing you can do is keep practising.
