price variation with mixers

    Hi im just purchasing a mixer but i want to know why some mixers that have the same functions as lower end mixers are over 3 times the price? is it just down to sound and build quality?:slick:

    Yeah it's down to quality. It's not worth getting a cheap mixer with lots of features (eg effects) because the quality will suffer

    A high end mixer will last longer and sound better because of the better components it uses, not because of a massive profit margin on the high end stuff.

    hahahha!! yeh.... DONT DO IT!!! especially that DJX700 whatever piece of bullshit mixer..... will fall apart within a year... guaranteed!!

    i just want a mixer for when im a home i got a mates decks at uni so my budgets as cheap as possible im looking on ebay etc but i suppose around £40. i was just going to get a budget numark

    be carefull when buyin mixers from ebay..... theres only really 2 reasons why peeps sell mixers.....

    1.... because there is a fault with it..... you may not find the fault at first but there will be one somewhere......

    2.... not so bad... but because they are upgrading..... this usually means the mixer has been battered.... and if they are "upgrading" it then chances are they have learnt to mix on that mixer...... which in my eyes is the worst person to buy a mixer from...... a beginner...... crossfader..... 9 times out of 10 has been battered from side to side in the good old "im a DJ cause i can slide the xfade really quick"...... you all know what i mean!!.. hahaha... we have all done it..... hahahaha

    haha yeah true! good advice mate. i have noticed a trend that nearly every mixer on ebay says only been used a handfull of time even if its the oldest mixer going

    yeh just be carefull mate..... you should be able to get a decent mixer for that price anyway.... well a decent low end mixer..... the Numark Bulldog or whatever it was called is what i had back in the day..... decent mixer for the price
