Been listening to dubstep for years. And i cant say im a fan of whats been coming out recently.

Some of the newer dubstep is still good, but it cant beat some of the older stuff. The stuff that was around before the Dr P infection =P

This for example:

And most definately this:

What are some of your favorite dubstep tracks from a few years back?

An btw it is actually still good.

either way some dubstep anthems are:

Digital Mystikz - Anti War Dub
Mala - Blue Notez
Loefah - Mud/Mud VIP
Digital Mystikz - Ancient Memories (Skream Remix)
Skream - Midnight Request Line
Benga & Coki - Night
Black Ghosts - Some Way Through This (Skream & Plastician Remix)
Plastician - Japan
Breakage - Together
Vex'd - Pop Pop VIP
Vex'd - Lion VIP

I really could go on all day.

Mala- Changes
Tes La Rok- Gunshot

Imo the new upcoming dubstep artists are adapting eachother to the wishes of the commercial public: they want hard drops with a filthy bass and a catchy intro... otherwise it's no dubstep...
But i think some people know better than this. For me Mala & Skream &... were the better dj's...

ALL of Distance's tracks old and new. Top quality and having nothing to do with the screeching robots with chainsaws.

Additionally (to name a few),

Vex'd - Degenerate (the album)
Pinch - Punisher [Skream & Loefah Mixes]
Uncle Sam - Around The World Girls [Tes La Rok Remix]
Peverelist - Roll With The Punches

Tunnidge, Kryptic Minds, Icicle, & Cyrus I think are also producing solid material

Good dubstep isn't extinct it's just gone into hiding
