I have never seen any trouble at a dnb rave in the UK and ive been to some of the roughest areas in the country. !
well u've obviously struck it lucky with the raves u go to, i've seen alot of trouble out but its usually when a pisshead gets annoyed with a pillhead
i dont think the drugs thing is an issue for other members of the public but it will definitely affect the landlord/manager's opinion, he sells alcohol not pills but if u dont like drugs u dont like drugs
drum and bass is still a fairly niche market, it has defo become more widely accessible over the last few years but u still have to take your time if you want the most out of the music, you cant turn on the tv and watch a couple of hours of scantily clad woman dancin to the latest dancefloor smashers or walk into HMV and flick through the dnb top 10. i'm sure the majority of ppl on this forum were heavily into music before they discovered drum n bass, i love loads of random shit but as far as production values go, and the sounds they create, dnb is incredible when compared with the current generic house or R&B sounds, especially considering the budget they r on.
also i've found that spending so long listening to dnb sets trying to blank out shit MCs i now do it with all music now, makes james blunt indefinably better!
