Apparently there are loads of police auctions around selling cheap gear, mostly in and around London. But I've searched all over the web and don't know where or when they're on.

I need to buy lighting, but it's always good to check them out.

Apparently loads of people who have squat parties go to them to buy their kit back :D

Any info on regular Auctions? London would be best.

I still wouldnt really give a fuk though and would still buy from an auction if I seen summit I wanted for cheap cause at the end of the day I suppose the same rule does apply... someones gonna have it, whoever it was taken from is not gonna get it back so why kick up a fuss, get wound up or annoyed over a situation you can't controle?

at the end of the day if someone had their shit taken off them, its cos they were doin somethin illegal with it. Or whatever. It doesnt matter. If that shits cheap, buy it.

From what I've heard it stuff recovered from criminals, like burglars when they can't find the original owners, and stuff taken from crims when it's been bought with the proceeds of crime.

I agree it's cruel with sound systems, but I'm sure the sound systems would rather buy em back cheap than forking out £1,000's for new.

A woman my mum knows goes to airport auctions where they sell on lost luggage. You can get an unopened suitcase for a £5, might be full of cameras, or ladies underwear, don't know til you buy. Then she used to sell the stuff on at car boots sales and make a packet. Regularly used to get cameras and video cameras, and new toiletries.
