Poland was lucky not to be 4:0 down by 30 mins. But that fucking penalty has to be worse favouritism than S. Korea reaching the semi-finals. Christ.

harsh but the ref warned them about it, and plus the polish goal was offside so its karma
i feel sorry for the polish keeper, quality display!

i jus wanna watch spain play, they were on fire the other night, they should win it imo but spain usually fuck it up somehow

Hmm, it might have been offside, I thought it was but it bounced off the Austrian defender so it might not have been strictly offside. Poland has two world class goalkeepers (Dudek and Boruc. Oh and Koszczuk) and one great player (Roger, a Brazilian) but the rest are pretty crap. Still, they were winning and they got robbed.

Funny thing is that I just realised that my father-in-law is going to be somebody very important in Austria. Extremely important. And my kid is going to be spending a lot of time in Vienna.

    Hmm.

The ref warned about pushing in the box, so they can't say much.

After three free kicks, that's bollocks. One of the Austrians was elbowing a Polish defender in the face at the same time of the 'foul'.

If we play like yesterday, that will be no problem! Croatia deserved to win!

The ref (a policeman) is getting protection after hundreds of death threats. Coming from the UK, he's got plenty of angry young Poles to go after him.

Not sensible on the Polish side but they're pretty pissed.

Croatia will be in the final. Germany will go through.

Austria is going down - if they play like they played against a crapper team like Poland, than Podolski (a German Pole, cough) is easily going to score a hat-trick to make up his goals against his place of birth. Austria collapsed after the first goal, even though they dominated the first quarter. But the German defenders are not as crap as the Polish ones so there is not going to be any beginning domination. Theoretically I should say that Austria should win because that might just allow Poland to go through if they beat Croatia (and score more) - but that's a pipedream, no chance of that.

Oh, I'm writing crap - the ref will help Austria get through.

its between spain and holland in my mind, only two teams that seem to have the least weaknesses, and seeing as i cant stand half the dutch squad i'm going for spain
