Who's writes - i would of thought people who inspire to be "musicians" must have some talent and emotion in them to write lyrics/ bars / poems...

Its a shame i literally have FUCK all spoken word flow cos ive always wanted to rap even for jokes, or mc on my mates sets and shit, alas i realize my limitations haha...

    Anyway a thread dictated...

just aq couple i wrote at work when i get bored - prefer doing things productively rather than shit on facebook or go through memes lol

That first one's dope! Some poetry stuff I've written, mainly on long journeys when my Ipods ran out of battery. Looking forward to reading your stuff as well Ethix, congratulations on getting it published.

    Lives in Glances
    Lives in glances.
    Wine glasses delay times passes.
Fate harnessed in the rabbit trap.
Para cats swing drifting. Push harder.
Feel the rhythm. Circle the top.
Lofty ambitions dampened by the clock's tic toc.
Stop the watch slowly learning to be a dickhead.
See red cosa blues. Choose colours wisely.
Sample the spectrum. Wretch out the rectum.
Microplasms of the toilet bowl. Learn the lesson.
Truth of the night in puke. Look alive.
Try and compute the morning. Ballin inside.
But every day's a lucky one. Suck it up carry on son.
    Seek love, amalgamate conscience.
    Break monotony. Praise endurance.
Race softly. Wait properly and times will come.
Your turn. Line up hear the gun.
Real bullets though. One take no chances.
Tales of the rabbit hole. Questions untarnished by answers.
Nine to five cyanide. Night time psychedelia.
Wide retinas. Line up your ambitions.
Taste the system. Then back to really livin.
    Wake up. Empty glasses.
Dredges never go far taste catharsis.
    Dogs hair. Thick and pungent.
    Scrunched noses. Stale air.
Bottle bank ashtrays growing through the night.
Pick one. Hear the fizzle of delight.
    Smile belatedely.
    Culinary masterpiece cheese on toast.
Scrape the carbon on dirty dishes.
Curse fissures in paradise, Care in apathy.
Absent mindedly succeed by the wrong rules.
Live calamity. The presence of the present.
Soar happily through these pleasant digressions.
Time bends the essence. Pint glass refraction.
Action. Take two. A new script.
Go down the paths you resisted.
    Remember it this time.

    The Tube
Rumblin in a tunnel under mice and men.
Wide eyed at the gelatin. Light bends on the bendy bus.
Melanin forgettin us. Cut the mustard.
Never chew the fat, it's unappealing.
The beast flustered in insignia on the ceiling.
Reared hind legs, jelly in the skeleton.
The peleton buried in the underground.
Spinning loud. Written down on the timetable.
Belly fables dictating the hour glass.
    Underpass of mass proportions.
Take caution, there's gaps on the map.
    Clapping belatedly with the rats.
Pitter patter in the screech under streets.
Tales of the ouiji board on record in the tunnels.
    Change the page.
Rage in efficiency, repetition or delinquency.
    Alter history.
Smouldering by the backbone of the system see the rifts in bees.
Spending time spending time for collective bliss to be.
    Alone in a bubble.
Sound doubled in the ear canals to annoyance of those around.
    Shouty whispers.
Singing proud in the dome bone, eyes down in exterior.
Jeans knees in stretched hysteria smother the skin.
    Mysteria surrounds the characters.
Love in an instant, covered in glances.
Will have no more, never tarnished.
    Anonymous dances in the stillness.
    Pilgrims united by desire.
Never unite in more than unknown company.
    Accomplices in the journey.
    Early for the minute.
    Sturdy for resistance.
Bat away disposable mates only meant for one instance.
    It was never bliss.
    Rose tinted glasses. Therapist catharsis.
    Move on, next song.
    Come along now, Your stop.
    Watch the drop.
    Back to the clock.

Yo cheers man! Gotta love a night that ends with many ash trays. By the way, spoken word flow can only be learnt through practice.

Some stuff I wrote this morning, is more designed for a beat but still, just on that abstract stream of consciousness tip.

    We hold hands planless
Lady luck an the space man bandit
Space jam till the space tramps landed
Face blank till the space trains stranded
Wing span splayed out, the shots candid
Zoom around, dodge hot rocks standard
    Outlandish dry mouth specialists
Float up to the skies for the hell of it.
Maybe she won but who benefits.
Both there in a stare since genesis
    Four elements, two heads resonance.
    Recklessness, fights in the premises.
Tryina stay away but your bellin it.
The phones off man, locked stay petulant.
    Dream feelin, clock tics evidence.
    Mid reelin, thoughts stay tenuous

    Meyday, she's stealing the duvet.
Pull it back wake up to a new day.
    Meyday, she's stealin the duvet.
Pull it back wake up, wake up.

    The Stokes Bay Crow

Ants fled the 'Day After Tomorrow' deluge.
    Apollo breaks his silence sworn.
Hundreds and thousands, bleed as one
    Through the pavements veins
    Cascades a marbled neon hue.

    A lesson then
    An ice-cream etch-a-sketch will edge,
    Ever closer down persistent vines.
    Crows transfixed tracing this
    Fateful torrents trudge.
While eleven lords prepare to leap,
    And foot of age protest,
What wrong bent arid fork was taken?
An eclipsing murmur on the soul
    In apex took a hold.

    Above all this
    The crownless cone
    In foil fist unfurled.
    Vanilla skies begin to wilt
    Of yellow snakes decent.
Whose trails tease a creaseless palm,
The life line and the head.
    Thus harmonizing today's toboggan
    Mr. Whippy weave.

    Crow turns tail
    Clubs and spades,
    Beholds a heavy hand.
For the blue drench makes a course,
Lifting his oil spill from the shore.
And there Crow glimpsed the water babe
    Scuba diving with fish unknown.
Waving free hands toward a Gafirs boat
    On its voyage left unnamed.

    You'd reroute too!
Upon that tide, did choose, instead
To fly marshmallows to the moon.
    And somewhere beyond
The undulating azure of Poseidon's realm,
    Crow carved himself a crest.

after reading through you guy's more "intelligent" rhythms i tried to take some inspiration cos they are fucking guddzzzzz...

Troubled thoughts on man deemed sane,
Too taut so I thought I’d barricade behind the things we’re taught
    Behind my troubled brain
And I thought I’d be fine?
All I know now, there’s a fine line and I definitely crossed it,
Complete disregard, you’d think I just mocked it
My sanity fades, as this line just flogs it
My mental shades, its just fog-ged,
Facebook twitter tumblr – blog it?
Lol tbh atm I cba with it
A play on words like it’s funny
But this play, it is our world
Run by silly little boys and girls
    Who run after the money,
Do we still think it’s funny?
So I escape to place where I see every inch of my 8 faces
Its late – I’m asleep, but still I pace it
The confines of my mind, mind you, is it still even mine too?
The voices, choices, the forces that come through
“are you just crazy, or have these ‘chosen’ you?”
Chosen you? Like I thought I mattered
But I did and still do
And result – my herd like instinct shattered
    As I alienate, distance myself
And contributes to same troubled thoughts I call tattered
… ride the waves of life’s ocean,
Just breathe, the ups and downs, every emotion
I just go through the motions
Some days I don’t care, others I focus,
    But the underlying theme is,
It’s all hocus pocus, it’s all bullshit,
And one day will I rise above this?
So I guess I’m as bad the rest is
I am the locus – feed off this shit
    I need this…
