Please Help Me Figure Out How To Make This Sound!! (examples)

I'm sure this has probably been asked by everyone and no one has an answer, but it's worth a shot yeah?

It's a jump up sound. I consider all noises families, and this noise in perticular would be probably related to Original Sin's somewhat trade marked noise he used in "Don't Be Silly", "D Is For Danger," a few others here and there.

Senai & Shifta got it down too!

Anyone? Take a guess? I'm fucking lost on it honestly. And I'm sure if more people knew how to make that sound it'd be everywhere, but I feel like until I make this one sound, everything else won't be as good and it's really fucking frustrating.

I've heard lots of chorus which I've tried with the Classic Chorus in FL Studio but it doesn't seem right. And it's more so the root to the sound. It's not quite a wobble "wah" kind of sound but it's cut off sounds up a little bit. I can't figure out. Please send any advice possible.
 
sounds like a shortened reece. Try 2 detuned saw waves. High attack on the amp envelope with maybe a slightly longer release to give it a marginal reverb effect. then just do short stabs instead of long notes.

i'll try and have a go at it later tonight and present my findings if i have any!

I've wanted to replicate that sort of sound for ages. I ended up making my own, it's not brilliant and is more based on the sound in songs like King of Miami VIP so is slightly different from the examples your looking for. If you use Massive then you can play around with the sound Ive got

but its basically a square and a saw wave with some chorus, but yeh any advice would be appreciated!
 
nice one man, I cant hear the sound though :( I deleted all music software from my PC, but reinstalling soon so will d/l soon, although if you could record an mp3 of the sound for me to hear in the meantime thatd be sick :P
anybody want to give some advice on the bassline in Don't Be Silly by Original Sin?
 
Yo spung I tried opening the sound on Massive and it just says "Cannot Open File" when I try, not sure why but I'll try and figure it out. A thank you in advance for it though. If you're in anyway comparing it to "Decibel - No Good" then fuck yeah man that's awesome. Thank you for the help.


For anyone that uses Maelstrom on Reason, apparently there's a preset on there that's perfect for this sound we're talking about. I don't use reason, my b2b dj does, so I'll let you know if he can figure that shit out.
