So ever since I touched a turntable all I have ever wanted was to be able to play a show of nothing but my own Tunes, now that I can create Tunes adequate enough to play on a dance floor, I don't want play them because I am sick of hearing them. Anyone else run into this?

2 things... stop over listening to your tunes during the making them process. resist checking back numerous times on an already exported mixdown. Only come back and listen when you're ready to work on it again, (worth waiting a day or two if you had a heavy session on it)

The other thing is maybe you're not making the sort of tunes you like to play?

but tbh who knows! maybe it's because they don't sound quite as good as the "big" tracks... i played some of mine out last weekend and while i made it mono compatible, hearing it on a big system.. wasn't very nice and instantly made me wanna work on it a load more.

i typically play my older stuff, gotta take a month or so after i make a tune to step back far enough from it to know how to effectively use it in a mix

So I guess I don't necessarily mean an entire set of just my Tunes, but I just can't seem to reach for my own Tunes. Ever

Well .... Just recently I got my production skills somewhere, where it´s not total dissaster, when I use them during the club sets... I´m actually talking about 2 tracks or so ... but still, I´m suprised you have problems to use your tunes....
I mean, since I started with production, this was the biggest thing which keeps me going.... and hell it was a good feeling, have whole club dancing to my tune.

Go for it mate... you won´t be dissapointed :2thumbs:

Echoing what Leniz says above, it is an awesome feel. Also pretty awesome if you've made a banger and found the sickest double drop for it too.
As for how many of my own I play in a set.. been a while since I did an hour mix but I guess on average, maybe 4 or 5 tunes? A whole mix of just one artist (unless they are hugely diverse) is a big no for me personally.

Aren't you 15 bro? Just curious where you play, I'm always impressed with you
Just what Robots said 25th of may Im playing along side Zero T & Satl at Rehab Invites Soul Lab. Gonna be a big one. Also may have a gig in june but that isnt confirmed yet!

If you're only 15 I'm curious how you get into the venues? That's pretty cool. They don't allow that around here unfortunately
