I'm told this is actually quite common and well within the safely margins for Jumbos.
You're not grounded so the damage is going to be minimal, just hope the fuel tanks don't go.
apparently so! still though, looks epic... although i was hoping for a mahoosive explosion and shit!
Thats it, the statistics are really high for Planes getting struck by lightning, they say its safe as houses, but I say its one of many other factors that contribute to me being shit scared of flying.
Being on Peyote on the flight back from Amsterdam in a force 5 gale/lightning/thunderstorm was probably one of the worst experiences of my life.
why are you so scared of dying is what i want to know
I ain't scared of dying.
I'm just scared of dying by falling 1000's of feet from the sky, or burning, or drowning, or any combination of the above usually accompanied by family/friends, having a good time, then suddenly hell is unleashed on you...
Airplanes are fucked up, they just freak me out.
that looks sick.
the guy filming sounded so unamazed!lol
How is Peyote compared to acid? allways wanted to try it someday
Planes have aluminium shells so its not that bad really (iirc internal electronics have protection from induced voltages).
These new fucking airfix aircraft (A350, B787 ...) which are made out of carbon fibre tho... scare me
