That's some really sweet intro work, I'm loving those strings. Drop lets it down for me a bit. I'm guessing it's the high pass bit your talking about tho.?

I dont know how to fix this first drops "downyness", maybe some filter automation went wrong? by the high pass failure I meant the second drops mid part when the supersaw lead comes in again, if u compare the second drops 1st quarter to the identical 3rd quarter, then u see what i mean

Yeah I hear it now.

I think the "Downyness?" you call it is more "muddiness". Its easily fixable with some correct EQ work. Everything up until the drop is clean as a whistle. I'm guessing the problem area is your drums. Are they all individual hits or are they chopped breaks?

Drums are individual hits and I'm thinking of layering some new drums tomorrow, 'cause those atm are kinda semi-cheesy samples there is just 1 break layered underneath highpassed drastically...
New layered EQ'd drums would ditch the mud?

Yeah definitely. You may need to do some surgical EQ on other elements within the track to let the drums shine through the mix too

surgical EQ as making a notch with a high Q and then taking out some frequencies?

e.g like making a notch at 200hz for the snare in the pads etcetc?
