i can write a decent chord sequence, but my chords always sound so, i guess weak, no matter how much i tinker and process i cant get my piano sounding really weighty, what do people do? or do most people rip samples from cd's vinyl ect?

just keep looking for a better sample mate, download some classical music or something

what do use for your piano sounds??? a single note sample? a vsti?

im using the multi samples that come with the exs sampler in logic

i havent heard the multisampled piano with logic but id guess it sounds ok.... in fact i was gonna reccomend a multisampled piano

hmmm... you want it to sound more weighty?? try layering in notes from lower octaves

so if your first chord in A minor.... instead of just having A, C & E, try layering another one or two of those notes an octave or two down

and vice versa, if you want it to sound brighter, add a note up an octave
