    MUSIC INFO

    KALEB
    P-SIDE : HORNS
    B-SIDE : DRIFTER
    RELEASE DATE : SEPTEMBER 2003
    CAT. # : PB014

Phuturistic Bluez proudly welcomes back the Finnish wonderboy Kaleb,
bringing us a full solo 12" after his successful collaboration with Physics
for PB #11. Having released tunes on Defunked and Finnish label Midnight
Sun Recordings, Kaleb delivers us a pair of remarkably catchy tunes with the
proper musical influence that comes from his years of practice playing the
    saxophone.

"Horns" is an upbeat stormer of a tune, with a short intro giving way to
some signature epic horn sections, powered by melodic rumbling wobbly bass
and a "feels so good" vocal. The beats provide a simple but effective
bounce, accompanied by a strong bongo section, giving plenty of attention to
    the unforgettable horns.

"Drifter" takes the dancefloor vibe down a notch, while still providing
crisp and clear drums that accentuate the rhythmic bouncy bass. A high
pitched piano hook, combined with some generous synth washes and sax licks
create a beautiful early morning vibe. A long breakdown signals the
addition of simple jazz guitar licks that put the finishing touches on this
delicate late night tune. Both tracks have been receiving widespread
international DJ support, and have gone over fabulously at our Sense of
    Groove monthly party in NYC.

    BLUE SONIX
P-SIDE : LET THE MUSIC TAKE YOUR MIND
    B-SIDE : LOOK
    RELEASE DATE : OCTOBER 2003
    CAT. # : PB015

Phuturistic Bluez proudly welcomes back the sensational Rikki Blue aka Blue Sonix, bringing us a tasty 12" after his successful release of PB#009(Beautiful/Can You Hanlde it?). He delivered us a pair of exquisite tunes with the proper musical influence that comes from his years of experience in traditional jazz.

"Let the Music Take Your Mind" is an upbeat stormer of a tune, with a short intro giving way to a live spanish guitar lick, powered by melodic but effective bassline and a the male vocal hook that sings the chorus. The breakdown is effectively played with the guitars as the main focus. Proving once again the sensibility of Rikki Blue to notice detail while not overwhelming the music with wizardry. This has been featured in various DJ Sets of Patife, Bukem, Fabio, Flight and many others

"Look" is a collaboration of Sense Of Groove MC: Mark Holmes and Rikki Blue. The lyrics provide the message with the music being the instrument. Disco driven melodies with a more modern twist and impact as the breaks and bass gives the support. Played out by DJ Flight,Fabio,Patife, Bukem and many others
Keep your ears peeled for the remixes of Beautiful/Can You Handle it? by Carlito and Greg Packer respectively.
