Wouldn't it be beneficial to simply learn the basics of synthesis at first? (for the noobies) but what I think we should teach people first is how to make a reece. I find that the easiest and a possibly varied synth sound to produce. (detune sawwaves by having 2 osc of saw waves, one with a few cents off) I feel like learning the reece was a learning cornerstone for me personally. Thoughts?

yes. making the reece, chorus before distortion (delay based effects before distortion is cool as crap), lowpass, dist, double up, frequency split, highpass sweep or something, resample, repeat. in a nutshell. maybe. not that mine are very good or nothing but learning how to make the reece is a cornerstone
