They played last Saturday at Webster Hall in New York City. Crystal Method opened up. The place was rockin'; it was a sick time!

Pendulum no longer make DnB is that it?

They started out with Clownstep, and then I lost track. I hear they do pop dance music now is that right????

Rock pop with a hint of drum and bass.

    And with gay male vocals.

reminiscent of soup du jour from 2001, metal rap emo sensation linkin parks departure into drum and bass, and about as credible as their collaboration with jay-z

Pendulum are the reason that when I got to a drum and bass night there's a group of people taking up tickets, yet sit in the corner wondering if they should paint their bedroom black.

Yeah their new music makes me cringe.....but in all fairness

Everytime i'v met them they've been really nice blokes, had beers and just chilled out and stuff. Gareth even played a proper DNB set at the after-party to one of their shows here in Perth a few months ago...

BUt yeah...hopefully they get all this 2 step nonsence out of their system and go back to making quality tunes !

Haven't been on this forum for a while. Thought maybe people would be bored by now of hating on Pendulum, but I was wrong.

Either way you cut it, they tore up the place, and the crowd was wicked. Dnb and other dance music has never been too popular in NYC, it was nice to see tons of heads getting rowdy.

you will soon realize there are a lot of Pendulum haters on DNBFORUM...well not just here...there are a lot full stop!!

The thing that buggs me is when rob pendulum had the slogan 'we conquered dnb' on his myspace...

conquered!????? hummmmmmmm...take the 'con' off that word...then maybe!! ;o)

    mwahahahaha

    What are you chatting about?

Pendulum never made what you interpret as Clownstep, especially with there early input. They touched on a lot of styles but not Clownstep.

Regardless of whether there new stuff is shit or not, they still made some pretty banging tunes a few years back.

Im not a fan of their new stuff in the slightest, but I wouldn't go as far as hating them, I just don't like the new sound they're producing, it just seems a bit too Bland for my liking, theres nothing too exciting or catchy about it- its just very uninteresting music IMO.
