DnB Pearsall presents 75 Shadows: Moving Shadow 1993-1997

I'm really excited to share with you a new project for summer 2022 ... 75 Shadows! Over the next five weeks I will be sharing a new mix each week, each one dedicated to the mighty Moving Shadow's output from a single year between 1993 to 1997.

Longtime heads will of course be familiar with Moving Shadow, but for those who are, gulp, younger than me, I think that when you hear the whole series, you will be able to understand just what an amazing and creative label Moving Shadow was back in the day, as in the space of just five years they released everything from euphoric breakbeat hardcore to sinister darkcore to jungle anthems to rugged hardstep to smoothly atmospheric drum n' bass to fearsome techstep, and beyond!

I'm going to do just one thread, I will just update this every week with the new mixes.

Naturally enough, we kick things off this week with 1993, that amazing year when the original euphoric breakbeat hardcore sound went into a deeper and darker direction, and producers were already beginning to map out the future pathway to jungle and drum n' bass. Enjoy!
