Paradub Presents // Outlook Festival Launch Party

We're an Official Club Partner for the best festival for bass-related music, and it is nothing short of an honour.

Bringing the launch party back to our roots at a venue which regularly used to stage nights with amazing vibes where some of the most cutting edge and legendary drum and bass artists in the scene rubbed shoulders with the best local talent Hertfordshire had to offer is a great opportunity for us to bring St.Albans back to the good old days.

The Horn is ready to emulate the Outlook experience that you all love and appreciate.. For those who haven't been, trust us, its something not to miss..

In 2012, Paradub co-hosted with some of the most prolific nights in Birmingham, including;

-Breakthru w/ Shogun Audio's Alix Perez and Spectrasoul
-Shadow City w/ Rinse FM T.Williams and FunkinEven

So far this year, Paradub brought the Godfather of Garage MJ Cole to an unforgettable sell-out night at the legendary Rainbow Venues..

We have tried to bring you artists that are not only hard to come by but that we feel are really pushing the boundaries with their unique sound and give justice to the kind of amazing music that penetrates the famous fort of St. Pula, Outlook.

dBridge (Exit Records)

To say we are excited to get this man down would be an understatement. A veteran producer, headliner of the festival itself and one of the most experienced artists in Drum & Bass, Darren White, aka dBridge, is an artist whose multiple transformations and evolutions in an around DnB show up a staggering list of achievements. Over the course of a long and distinguished career, he has been at the heart of some the most exciting collaborative partnerships Drum & Bass has ever seen, from Future Forces to Bad Company and mostly recently Club Autonomic. He has released his productions on every record label worth its salt, including; Metalheadz, Shogun Audio, Soul:r and Quarantine. As for DJ'ing, dBridge is now cemented as one of the most important, and innovative DJ's on not just the Drum & Bass scene, but the electronic music circuit. Expect cutting edge drum beats and deep dark bass-lines blended intricately and smoothly, your always in for a treat with this man.

Hybrid Minds (Spearhead)

The trio behind Hybrid Minds have fast become famous for their melodic, soulful Drum & Bass which is making waves in the scene. After huge hits including the stunning Lost EP on Audioporn which received over half a million views on UKF, the follow up Heartfelt EP on Austrian label Mainframe, a remix for Jakwob’s ‘Blinding’ and a release on Allsorts, Hybrid Minds have become in the short space of two years synonymous with the best Liquid DnB. With their tour dates seeing them playing across the world in the next few months, we are delighted to have nabbed these boys from their busy schedule to show St. Albans the very best of what they have to offer. Trust us, Hybrid Minds are well on their way to becoming one of the biggest names in the scene.

Onset (Dispatch, Fullfat)

Alex Smiler is no stranger to the Horn, as like Paradub, his roots lie in St. Albans. Since his departure to Leeds, Onset has done extremely well for himself, helping run one of the best labels of the moment, Ant TC1's Dispatch Records, along with gaining residency's at Leeds biggest and best nights including Momentum, Vagabondz and running his own extremely successful night Fullfat. In previous years this man has been seen to seamlessly alternate between technical and rolling styles, blending soulful melodies with more minimal sounds alongside the occasional amen at Outlook festival. Onset is known for a diverse selection across the genre and we cant wait to hear what he has in store for us.

Blindside (Breakthru, Blindside)

The founding father of the biggest Drum and Bass night in Birmingham and possibly the midlands for the last 8 years. He has booked just about every decent DnB DJ from Calibre to Andy C and his nights always hosts the most cutting edge artists drawing in a loyal crowd craving their dose of heavy hitting 170bpm beats. His record label (Blindside) has forthcoming releases from Calibre & DRS and previous releases include Marcus Intalex, DBridge, S.P.Y, Survival and Noisia. He is a brilliant DJ, preferring the medium of vinyl, his style will blend perfectly with that of the night.

Mayan B2B Impact (Paradub, Seedy Sonics, Shadow City)

In the past couple of years, these two have embedded themselves fully into Birmingham's underground music scene. Impact (Alex Anthony) secured a regular spot at Seedy Sonics at the beginning of 2012, along with a supporting role with Break Thru at RAM later that year, and has since then been treating DnB heads from around the West Midlands to his seamless transitions from soulful/funky sounds, into the deeper/darker side of the genre that he oh so loves. Mayan (Cameron Epstein) has played with Hospitality, Seedy Sonics, Origins and Oneman's Solitaire Tour. This boy can be described as versatile, every single set has varied in style and pace, from drum and bass to garage, he has consistent ability keep the crowd captivated with his varied selection. Expect something tasty from 2 of Paradub's finest.

Since Outlook festival first emerged in 2008 it has guaranteed four things: boat parties, vibes, great sound-systems and sunshine. Each year the line-up is bigger and better and leaves Bass fans drooling at the mouth at the thought of seeing their favorite DJs rocking out in a 100 year old fort, the incredible main stage, on a boat or even on the beach. Outlook is a festival that continually brings the communities of dub, hip-hop, drum ‘n’ bass and dubstep together.
