After a brief hiatus from the label and following releases on the biggest labels in the scene Spectrasoul are back, and this time they're back for good having now signed exclusively to Shogun Audio. Fans of the camp will surely applaud as these guys are hot property right now!
Leading the way on the A-side is 'How Strange', a lesson in how to produce sumptuous, soulful and darn right sexy drum & bass music. Once it drops it's all about the double-bass b-line that Spectrasoul work with ease creatinga effortlessly funky slab of smooth-like-chocolate D&B. This one's got Swerve written all over it.
'I Was 10' however couldn't be more different as the boys show their versatility and flex their darker sides with grizzly results. Stop-start percussion paves the way on the intro as eerie pads float in the background drawing the listener in. Then out of nowhere the most sinister of vocals signals the banging bass and gut-wrenching kicks to start the onslaught. Turn it up, you wont be disappointed.
