Sonorous is coming off to a great start. First, a dope release from Atlantic Connection, then a broad spectrum of sounds from it-boy Lynx? Too heavy. ''Shame On You'' brings the party in quickly with a dope organ melody riding underneath a load of synths coming back and forth, and the whole party delves into an funky, simple drop that both capitalizes the established sounds in the intro and makes sure there's not too much going on inside this ride. It's just an overall funky ride, primed and ready for big mixin'. ''Envy'' links Lynx (tongue twister?) with Malibu Rhodes, taking things a big darker and edgier, but still mainlining that raw, uncut funk into the veins. The vibes are straight forward: this is a train to funkytown. Are you hopping aboard?
