Broken Audio Recordings are back!
Renowned for seeking out and developing new musical talent from around the World, having previously helped launch the musical careers of artists such as Skeptical and Foreign Concept to name but two; the team at Broken Audio spent much of 2013 listening to countless demos in a bid to select only those new artists who could consistently demonstrate the musical talents necessary to follow in the footsteps of those above for 2014 and beyond.
Musical Currency – Volume One is the first chapter of a project that marks the start of a new era at Broken Audio. A 12 track compilation album, it is a statement of intent in that it features a host of new names alongside some of the label’s more established artists. The result is an audio experience that clearly demonstrates the label’s philosophy of quality no matter what. From the intricate and retro-esque sounds of Re Turn’s ‘Doubts Ingrained’, through to the club smash Amen break driven monster that is Acid Lab’s ‘Sumatra’; and everything else that falls in-between, this compilation provides a musical journey of considerable note through the deeper realms of Drum & Bass music production.
