OUT-BREAK holds its 2nd birthday on Saturday 3rd November at the Venus Vodka Bar, Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth for a full on celebration of old & nuskool breakbeat.
Since 2005 Out-Break have strived to bring quality underground breakbeat events and have developed into one of the leading nights not only in the Portsmouth area but along the south-coast. Promoting parties containing established DJ's as well as breaking fresh new talent the birthday party is no exception as we bring you 3 DJ's who are at the forefront of not just the breaks underworld but the dance music scene as a whole.
Paul BassRock's profile has rocketed due to the heavily Oldskool influenced, deep n'dirty breakbeat releases on his BassRock Records imprint. Working and producing with breakbeat artist's such as CTRL-Z, Backdraft, Baobinga, Anti-Science and the Autobots and with over 18 releases under its belt to date, BassRock is a label that no discerning Breaks DJ should ignore.
Wink is a DJ, Producer, Promoter and self-confessed vinyljunkie who has been DJ'ing and playing out since the early 90's, firstly hardcore before progressing with the scene thru jungle and into drum and bass and breaks. As a promoter Wink is involved with Total Motion and Tripoli (uti) and the long running Boxing day parties at Club Ice. As a DJ, Wink has held residencies for Fusion and Adrenalin which has seen him play at some of the biggest events over the past 10 years including the massive WestFest.
From Acid House to Hardcore to Drum n Bass and, most recently, Breakbeat, Ellis Dee has ridden each club wave. He currently divides his time between DJing, working in the studio and running a course teaching DJ and production skills. Always adept at working the crowds, he knows what makes good club music. Ellis Dee has headlined at all of the major oldskool events like Telepathy, Raindance, Fantazia, Perception,World Dance and every club up and down the country aswell as playing worldwide in America, Canada, Australia, Russia, Japan, Germany, France, Spain............ and still continues to tour the international dj circuit.
This party is going to be massive so please come and join us to help the party go off in style as Out-Break continues to explore the boundaries of breakbeat as we push it hard into our third year.
