what other types of music are you into?

Drum n bass is my main weapon of choice
but i do love Acid house & Techno,
Layo & Bushwacka! are Miiint, Love story was such a tune a few years back, Matthew(Bushwacka) was telling me that they changed the name to "love story" after Argentinean clubber's actually sat on the floor when they played this tune in a sort of "hommage" to it.
Any1 been to see them @ the end?

i also don't mind the odd bit of grime, I find a lot of it really immature tho. Bashy is one grime artist I love to listen to,
the boys got talent, plus he's a Harlesden boy

then there is Hip-Hop, i love the older 80's & 90's hip hop
i went to see public enemy about 2 years back, they absolutely killed it, had a live band with them, played for about 2 hours. one of the best gigs I've ever been to

i like a bit of hip hop (anticon style) i've got a MASSIVE hard on for sage francis.
and a few, i guess, what is it? down tempo ambiant? stuff like shadow, blockhead etc... some ninja tune releases and ting.

do like a lot of proper emo / post hardcore. glassJAw are my favourite band ever. others like converge, coheed and cambria, minus the bear, will haven, refused, at the drive in...

deftones are just sublime as well.

justin timberlakes first album is mint.

i guess my heart truely lies with all the post hardcore stuff.

but my life belongs to drum n bass.

ya man, that's the one, spot on! he's got the highest pitched voice in the world, and the biggest afro.
only really liked their first album, second was pretty good. but then they went up their own arses.... all their albums are concept albums, and it all got a bit..... indulgant really....

God I like so much stuff and barely have time to listen to it.
    (No particular order)

Dance music. I like a bit of dubstep, breakbeat and really organic/ musical house and techno. I mainly listen to house
    and techno as mixes though.

Then I like old skool hip hop and what I call proper hip hop lol.
Like Grandmaster Flash, GM Mele Mel, Biz Markie, Jeru the Damaja, Flava Flave etc.

I like a lill bit of Reggae to. Like King Tubby and roots stuff.

Also rock, but im quite selective with it. But I like Santana, Dire Straights and The Who.

The only pop I really like is Amy Winehouse, Amy Macdonald and I have 'Sweet about me' by Gabriela Cilimi.

I absolutely love jazz. Leaning more towards latin jazz and I listen to it as chill out music. Love it when it influences dance musicto:)

Also world music. Like I have CD's on African drumming and I like Indian raga too. Not keen on Gamalan from Indonesia though.

I also love classical guitar on it's own.

But at the end of the day DNB plays the central role:slayer:
I love it when a DNB tune has influences from the other
    genres I like though:)

    DnB
    Hip Hop
Downtempo - Mo' Wax, Earlier Ninja Tune, Tricky, Portishead, Massive Attack etc
Lots of Rock/Metal, played guitar in bands when in my teens so know a lot of that stuff from 10+ years or so back
Techno - Esp stuff like Soma, Luke Slater, UR
House - All sorts of stuff, mainly the funkier stuff...
Reggae + Dub - Mad Professor, Horace Andy etc
Leftfield Stuff - Earlier Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, most good warp records stuff, particularly the early stuff - LFO, Tricky Disco, got lots of the original 12's
Blues + RnB - starting from Robert Johnson right the way through...
Baggy - Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Primal Scream

So yeah, a few bits and bobs... But to be honest I don't really listen to much stuff other than DnB at the moment, aint really got the time!

    hmmm.. quite alot really...

my biggest obsession music wise.... is Massive Attack.... been to see them live more than 5 times i rekon... absolutly love their stuff..... if theres anyone in this world id like to meet it would be them... a proper star struck moment... hahaa..

other than that.... im always game for a bit of Hispanic Hip-Hop.... ie.... Non Phixion, Cypress Hill and Fat Joe.... dunno why... but ive always been in to that sort of Hip-Hop.....

Audio Bullys.... a massive fan of them!! love everything they do! there first album "Ego War" is by far their best.... Everything Simon chats about relates to myself growing up in south London.... Especially the track where he's chatting about his mum telling him to get a job and give up writing music..... hahaha... i bet she wont say that now... hhaha...

i massivly into Ska aswell..... Bad Manners, The Specials, The Pinchers and of course Madness....

Love Ragga aswell.... Capleton especially is one of my idols..... Drum'n'Bass MCs can learn alot if they just took 5 min to see just how much stage presence Ragga MCs have..... i mean... search for Capleton live.... the guy just has to say 2 lines of a chat and the crowd go absolutly crazy..... and thats literally it..... i went to see him a stratford rex a while ago..... by far one of the best moments ive ever had..... he quite literally steps on the stage and people go mad..... he's like some kind of god.... its crazy..... i just remember waiting for him to come on.... he came on being carried in some chair.... they lowered it.... he jumped out and all he said was 1 line from his track "cuyah cuyah cuyah" and everyone was jumping around.....

Anyway.... im also well into Portishead, DJ Shadow, Plump DJs, 2 Many DJs, Air, Orbital, Enigma, Leftfield, Chemical Brothers, Kosheen, Amon Tobin... the list goes on.... but the above are my main passions really... apart from dnb....

**EDIT**... forgot about Infected Mushroom.... FUK ME!! if you ever want a lesson on production... look to these guys!! FUKIN SICK!!
