My vinyl collection is now becoming a mess, just crates and crates of randomised vinyl. It long overdue I'm gonna catalogue my collection, now heres the question....whats the best way of doing it?

    by artist?
    by date?
    by label?

    anyone got their collection organised?

I don't organise mine, they seem to just sit in more recently played positions.

I used to put my old Happycore vinyls into labels, that was very easy to find what you were lookin for :D

Mine's all in a fairly random order, kind of loosely sorted into groups of records that fit well together and groups of records on the same label. I know where everything is though :)

I kinda categorise them in groups of labels, then have one crate of my newest stuff which is just newest at the front. and old ones get taken out the back and put in the label sections. Of course it's a fucker to update but it works well.
