I know, another "how do I imitate an artist" thread.
But learning about this will help my synthesising skills so ;)

So yeah I'm just wondering how they might make those classic kinda synth sounds, like in;

1.49

1.27

Thanks guys.

yep, dig around acid presets from your synths and start fiddling some knobs!

Alternatively just start from a basic saw reese sound and start filtering with different combinations, should be pretty easy.

i'm pretty sure optiv & btk did a masterclass thinkin about it. have a search on youtube "optiv & btk masterclass"

Can't find anything for that just a few "in the studio" things, humourous but ultimately kind of useless :P
I've had a look at some acid presets though, thanks for the help.

sorry, it was octane & dlr - they make similar tunes though.

arent those just resampled reeces played an octave higher ? was thinking about the same leads over the weekend, will have a go this week

There is nothing wrong with trying to recreate the sound of another artist, i do it all time, it challenges me and helps with inspiration. It's when people make music that sounds exactly the same when it's abused lol..

should be pretty easy.
