Optimal Prime are with you once again with podcast number 6 delivering the second Drum and Bass mix in the OP Dub Cutz series. We begin starting the journey on a liquid tip, swiftly progressing toward a darker intelligent but techsteppier direction before finishing off a little more relaxed with a few OP exclusives.

Featured in this mix is a first look at our latest offering, “Drifting By”, a lead driven liquid track of epic proportions with smooth live recorded trumpets (courtesy of Chris Smith), beginning alive but relaxed before progressing into a bass driven, energetic finale of a drop. Later in the mix we introduce a second exclusive first-play, with a much more ambient offering once again featuring live trumpets in combination with spoken vocals. Lastly we also re introduce the recent Allthingslost remix “Nothin’ (Optimal Prime Remix)”.

Mavamatics of Liquid Movement DnB has kindly provided us with his new DBR UK remix which is definitely worth a listen, as he kick starts the darker techstep switch midway through the mix. The track is available for free to download in full on his Soundcloud page which can be found at https://soundcloud.com/liquidmovementdnb

None of the OP tracks are currently available for download or to purchase as of yet, however we are planning to release several free tracks in the near future so keep a look out if you like our sounds.

As always, we hugely appreciate feedback and will happily consider music to include in our future sets in the DnB and Dubstep field as long as it fits within our current direction.

Thanks for reading and tuning in
