Safe Agent! Curious to see what you think about a non halftime mix? let me know mang
Ez Beknoxx - as Teddy said your mixes are pretty swish...I may not comment as much as I used to (some of the older members may remember some of the feedback a couple of us used to go into) but I am a silent listener, and as you know passed on a couple of your mixes previously to a few friends who dig the half-time stuff.
Me personally I prefer this kinda style in this mix.
Intro tune worked great, great eery vocal to set the mood, the stabs on that tune are pretty moody. Great way to set the scene.
Gotta commend you on the fact you've let the first tune roll. Get so many mixes these days where its 100 tunes per minute. When a record is good why not play the majority of it?
Eleven (Amoss Remix) worked a treat. Beautiful how the vocal of Electricity pokes back through mid mix. Swish.
Sixfoot changed it up slightly for a more soulfoul blend, the moody synths of both tracks whirring away together made for a solid blend.
Fake ID - Midranges intertwined really well when this came in. The change up of the beat in this tune is crazy!!!
Ton of Bricks - Don't know this tune so trying to distinguish it in the mix, im assuming its beat came in over the breakdown of Fake ID and switch? Not sure, transition was seamless though. Effortless mixing so far.
Assuming Brand New World will worm its way in the mix at some point - love the moody vibe to this mix. Here we go. The beats weirdly worked together, it may be a bit much for some, may be a bit cluttered, but it makes for a cool blend IMO.
Looking at the TL recognise or own a lot of tunes going forward. Dub Specialist and its almost talking midranges worked really well in this mix. Just seems like it worked with everything I have heard before it. Definitely noticed before you have an ear for a good blend, and your backing it up in this mix.
Can hear the beat of Moods poking through and expecting a double...nailed. Although I would have had that midrange of Dub Specialist poking through in the mix a little more however I really digged the blend.
Nice quick breakdown of Moods - nutty tune when it kicks in again huge drums. Beyond the Wall next - can hear it creeping in with that piano riff.
Cool mix with Beyond the Wall, drums together were a little cluttered but still decent.
Ahh one of my artists of the year. MIR is quality...Probably the one mix I haven't been sure on in the whole mix so far. Works a lot better after the first 16 bars of the mix, not sure if you took that other tune out or not someone prodded my shoulder about some work stuff.
The Formula is such a good tune. Can tell this blend is going to work really well - Yea the midranges of MIR worked over the top of the mix superbly.
Your EQing has been pretty good throughout. Can hear that Tom Small tune worming its way in after the mad 2nd drop of The Formula - yes! and the cheeky cut back to The Formula! Boooom! Rocking it Beknoxx.
Hypnosis next up - another tune I haven't heard before. (another reason I like you mixes, introducing me to new music) ERGHHHH! The bassline on that is tidy!! Yes yes yes people in work are probably assuming i'm sat on hot coals from bobbin up and down hahaha. The more I listen the more cutbacks I can hear your crossfader must take a bashing! (unless you're using the upfaders?)
Morality's drums were instantly recognisable...tidy mix.
You're spoiling us man, even time for some Spectrasoul, yes. Wicked mix. Love this.
Thought the stuck in the rut mix might have been better the with bass left on from Shackles and the Mids left up on Stuck in A Rut, just lost a little energy from the previous tune (i'm being picky because the so far its been so solid) Technically sound though.
Instantly recognise Full Measure - went to see Fre4knc in Dam in May. He didn't disappoint.
Great mix man - the mid ranges of stuck in a rut poke over the mix again perfectly. Rewound this a couple of times now spot on.
Never heard the last tune, wasn't my favourite mix of the lot to be honest.
Man that was some ride! Really digged a lot of this!!!
This style is really what I am about, I apologise that I haven't left some sort of constructive feedback before but as I said before I have slowed down on the feedback compared to before.
Definitely your strengths are the blends where the midranges poke through the mix. Some good eqing on display right here.
Big ups dude. This is on point.
