OPINION: Gear VS Software

I'm at the moment investing some dinero on hardware. I'm not expecting to be dom&roland by just getting me a cheap synth, and I'll still be using my pc as the main machine for sequencing, beat programming, sampling and shit. i'm not even planning on getting so much hardware that I wouldn't need a computer at all. PC is a good tool, it's a good multitool for everything. So the main thing is to use both.

'tis dat simple.:p

Dang, I gotta come here more often and up my post average.

I'm a software head myself, but that's only 'cause my bank account is thinner than Kate Moss on a good day. And my home connection's a 56K, so even the skull and crossbones route is a jackass.

Specifically, I use Buzz for everything but WAV editing, and Audacity for WAV editing. Notice that they're both free.

Of course, nothing can replace a good set of ears no matter what.

Dang I'm tired.

I'm all software, but i dont think there iz a right or wrong way,it just depends on how you wanna work,i personaly prefer software coz a can get really deep with my prosessing,I think in the last year the music software has become so good, what with the arrival of countless vst intruments.Itz all about what sound you want.
