One off dubs/vinyl cutting OMG

Found his twitter page and dropped him a message.

After that though I realised Rane now do a 'performance series' so going to go for those and test their worth I think. Its not just me who finds the standard ones awful is it? Scratched in no time.

cheers man - its not about doing it cheap - its about providing a good quality service ' at affordable price ' firstly makes its easy for people to get there works on vinyl with out cutting 300 at a time that cost you the world and u only end up sitting on loads and wasted money just to get a vinyl release ...

....we cut 1 to 100 max on runs - or just one offs .

ive been cutting records now for over a year half - over 3500' records cut with my very ears now ..easy over 7000 tracks mastered and put on vinyl.
my rep is build on word and mouth ' based on sound and quality of my work, nothing more .
yes sure ive invested a lot of money in out our studio and cutting suite - over the last 4 years building ' and training .

mass support for Pro industry DJ / producers - and the likes of Dj MAG support kinda says it all really.

i feel very lucky to built something that save's the life of Vinyl .....

yeah long live vinyl - Who said it was dead - page 131 dj mag

Awesome philosophy! I'll spread the word about your services and more than likely I'll be a customer in the very near future.

And big up for all that you do. Vinyl is certainly not dead...and it seems to be making a fairly strong comeback despite the music industry as a whole tanking. :)

Who knows...maybe the Technics factories will fire up once again...but I digress.

Cheers.

I think he's stopping doing it tbh muzza.
Hit Steve up on fb. Top guy he will let u know if he can hook u up.
think they are - from FB:
'Ed's Vinyl' - We do "Muzza" but we are not taking anymore orders on till the backlog from Chrimbo has been sorted, please email cutting@edsvinyl.com for future reference...Cheers Liz

they are always posting about having lots on, hopefully they are still rocking it as need to get some digital only releases cut this year...

So, after several months of lying about finishing my order (and many others as I know), this guy Steve Chamberlain decided to turn off his facebook page and website and that's all...http://edsvinyl.com/

What can I do now, to whom can I complain, can somebody give me a hint? I payed order in February, and of course, never received anything. This was second time that I ordered from his, first time everything was excellent.

That's fucked mate. Hope you get it sorted.

How much is it to get a one off cut these days?

You

You're probably looking at around 40 quid. Not sure if that'll include a dedicated vinyl master though.

Cheers mate. Bit steep to consider that on my wage. My ears pricked up when I saw £16, but assumed that it was unlikely to be that cheap now

This is my Review and WARNING about Steven Chamberlain aka Cutting Vinyl:

I've paid 538,48 GBP end of April for 20 pc. 12" Picture disc agreed that 10pc will be cut directly and send to my mothers address while I'm in Holidays. Second half of records should have be sent to my adress two weeks later. I've paid with a regular PayPal payment but had to cancel it because the Money would have held back 21 days, as I orderd from Steve before I've trust him and resended the payment as 'Family and friends' without any security to me. He got the Money to order raw material and start straigth away as agreed! (bad for me: the amount was taken from my account twice and half was refund by PayPal some weeks later!)
Nothing arrived anywhere until I was back home. A lot of emails with Infos like "your records have been posted" "I'll Forward the tracking" followed over the next few month....never with any result of arriving package or a legit tracking number. Finally a guy called David emailed me because helps Steven who is running behind in cutting (not my Problem if he cannot handle his Business)
So David wrote me that he changed the address again (because I'm in the next 14days Holiday (!!) aftter my order in April!) and he will send tracking straight - this is 3 weeks ago now! I've 110 days since my payment, a bunch of emails with lies and a requested PayPal refund (by me to Steven) from July which is ignored. My mails get now answers even if this bloodsucker can run his Facebook very good (I've posted my case in there, too - got blocked and deleted)

DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM!!!!!!! BEWARE AND SHARE!!!!

I've also been ripped off by Steve Chamberlain / Cutting Vinyl. He did a few records for me that turned out great, then I sent him my biggest order for over $500 and he never sent the records. I posted to his FB and also got deleted and banned. None of my messages get returned now, BEWARE!

Firstly, I would like to clarify that I started edsvinyl.com with Steve Chamberlain in 2011, between me and 2 friends we bought and paid for the equipment that he currently still uses, none of us have had a penny back from this bloke, in 2014 ended the relationship when I realised I wasnt going to get a penny back and just more debt. He then proceeded to take my edsvinyl.com site from me along with all the equipment. I have a record shop in Brighton called EDS VINYL where I sell records only. CUTTING VINYL/STEVE CHAMBERLAIN IS NOT INVOLVED IN THIS....so please stop referring to cutting vinyl as Eds Vinyl, there is no longer any connection.
He seems to be still in business and still up to his old tricks, I have suggested people go to the police and report him for fraud and also trading standards. There is a group on Facebook that has been set up by people that have been ripped off, here's the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/1623760774505816/

This is my link to my record shop, I have a little drum and bass, but mainly specialise in house and electronica....http://edsvinyl.co.uk/
Hope this clears this up, thanks
