On a Level are back again at Egg this month with a Proximity Recordings label night showcase!! If you have not been down to Egg for one of our nights previously Get to know, this night will be a banger. We will be hosting The Loft alongside some Proximity Recordings biggest artists. Club doors open at 10pm however we will be representation in The Loft from Midnight until 5am.

Like minded individual Basher & Xtrah formed Proximity Recordings in early 2010. Since its inception it has quickly gained recognition across the drum and bass scene being recognised as one of the most exciting, current new labels in the game. Individually Basher and Xtrah are both highly respected artists with releases collectively on RAM Records, Subtitles and Frequency.

Billion first started mixing in under the name DJ Billy Whizz. In 95 he joined Flex FM 103.6FM and co-run the station with DJ Deekline from 1998 to 2001. in 2002 he changed his name to Billion and genre to DNB and started up Fathom Audio with MC Sense. Since then Fathom Audio has grown recruiting MC Code:Breaker and Fybe-One in the Team. Releases are now flying out on labels such as Dispatch Recordings, Dutty Audio, Proximity Recordings and Diffrent Music which are due out for release Summer 2011. Fathom Audio's music is regularly on podcasts by the likes of Metalheadz, Shogun Audio, Voodoo Music, Renegade Hardware, Samurai Music, Offkey, Horizons & Diffrent Music.

The duo from Southampton are quickly emerging as the ones to watch for the future. They recently gained support from Kasra featuring in his July top 10 with 'Droneheads.' The also have tracks forthcoming on Proximity Recordings. Check out this article featuring them last month in DJ Mag:

DJ and promoter of South London drum & bass night "Sub:side". His reputation for ahead of the curve selection, often featuring tunes from new and unsigned producers in his sets have earned him slots at the likes of Fabric, Cable and Plan B.
