Okay, so I've been wanting to make a cd of some good old skool rap songs, but I only have a few song ideas. Any suggestions?

I agree to a large extent, UK Hip hop has been impressing me for the last five years or so .. Nextmen are in Melbourne at the moment.

Not all new US rap is bad though, just most of the crap you end up hearing is... it needs to be dug up.

Yer there are some good artist's around Roots Manuova still is by far the leading UK artist for me, but then you got artist's like Skinny Man & Kalashnikov bringing the nu skool MC's for the UK. Shame Skinny Man can't stay out of trouble because he always seems to be locked up b4 the record deal goes through :(

Thought I'd bump this thread cos I'm listening to Dead Prez - let's Get free how deep is this album!!! They've got some interesting political views to showcase & 'Animal in Man' is an epic story told in 4 mins & 31 seconds. :dutty:

    "Clockwork," right? Good pick. :slayer:

As for me, it's all about Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince - specifically "Summertime," "Parents Just Don't Understand," and "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble."
