Okay, I've been out of drum and bass for a while... what should I know?

Wow, awesome flood of information there. Some names I recognise, a lot of new names that I will be checking out.

I had noticed a dearth of big raves. I went to Sticky at Scala at the weekend which was fine (except I really fucking hate that venue at times) but I used to enjoy the proper massive SeOne/Bagleys events from time to time. Sad to learn that Movement@Bar Rumba shut down, that was my favourite venue and safe bunch of guys.

Also nice to see Alix Perez doing so well. He was a regular at dnbscene.com, posting up his early tunes, and I remember him winning our last big producers' competition where his track was played out at Movement. We always knew he'd go onto big things.

Thanks for the input guys, most helpful. Looks like the scene's a bit fractured compared to how it used to be, a period of consolidation maybe.

To summarise:

Jump Up: Womp, Womp, Wobble Wobbly Womp!
Tech: Reece, Reece, Reeeeeeeece
Liquid: Gay
Minimal: (See Tech, take away the breaks and replace with occasional 808's)
Darkstep: Pots n Pans :gslayer:
Techno-DnB: Stomp Stomp Bleep Stomp
Drumfunk: Amens, Amens and more Amens!

:teeth: Just kidding before the Sub Genre police come out!

hmm, sums it up nicely!
