    Hey Guys,

Dunno if this has been posted already but I have recently ditched massive in pursuit for something a little different and something that fits that dark sound a bit better. I've been playing with FM8 and I found this tutorial to be very useful.

Obviously not everyone's cup of tea, but im sure this will benefit some of you.

Its deffo really helped me get to grips with it though. FM8 is capable of some horrible, HORRIBLE sounds.
Big up to Chris Octane for doing the video. They have released a preset pack I think, but in all honesty you will probs learn more from just watching and playing.

    Nice one

    Nice one mate, means alot!

@yogi, yeh me too but the way he explains it has made me feel so much happier with it. I see it as far more intuitive than massive now. Deffo gonna put a few hours in on it. Hopefully it shall pay off.

Great post, thanks so much. I've had FM8 in my arsenal for a while but i've had no idea how to use it. I wouldn't say ditch massive but it's definitely a nice alternative!

Aye. It's not a bad little synth! The way you can arrange the filters and such in that matrix is sick. And I think the flexibility of the envelopes is greater than that of massive's performer thingy.
