i got proper robbed by the vue cinema in bolton yesterday , took the wife and kids to see how to train a dragon as a bank holiday day out , £23 for tickets which was a family ticket saving me £4 (great!) then i got stung by some snotty nosed twat with a lip nose as cock ring £17.50 for 2 slushes a small popcorn and some nacho's ! £17 fuckin 50p !!!!!!!

£5 for a slush ? a fucking big glass of ice with some e number bright blue shit in it ? where the fuck does this country get off with ripping us off all the time?

Its like the fucking zoo @ chester - £50 for a family of 4? ffs i know what an elephant and tiger looks like so why do the parents get charged twice as much as the kids ? its not like they can go in there without us is it ?

not forgeting using my £1.20 a ltr fuel to get us anywhere too arrrrhhhh

rant over - for now !

Thank God for sites like netflix, reasonably priced & convenient.. As soon as all the old people die, a marketing revolution shall take place.

was talking to someone at work today and he bought a Merlin pass i think he said it was called for 75 quid per person and that gives u access to places like chester zoo, thorpe park and legoland them kind of places and you get discount in them places with that pass on stuff like food and drink. He went to them three places this weekend and he said its already paid for itself.

This is why i boycott the cinema and wait for a DVD release.
Give it a few months and it'll be in HMV for £3.

    WIN!

It is well expensive, I only tend to go to see big movies that are going to be epic on the big screen...

The other way to think about it tho, me and the misses went to the cinema at the weekend, with Tickets / drinks / popcorn etc I think it came to about £35 between the two of us. Thats only £17.50 each, that's nothing compared to the money I would spunk if I went out on the piss instead.

I feel your wallet pain Andy. The Odeon in Blackpool is the same. £25 for a family ticket, £9 for Nachos and a drink which is fucking ridiculous for a few crisps, some plastic cheese, a few jalapenos and a litre of fucking post mix syrup with fizzy water added. £6 for a large popcorn and £3.50 for a small tub of fucking Minstrels!

Robbing twats. We just take our own stuff in when we go now.

do you want it cheaper. what kind of dumb fuckin question is that.

luckily i had a bag full off popcorn, sweets and bottles of coke so it probs cost a maximum of £20.
