Hey all new here. Im really trying to get into producing dnb, and I had a few questions for you guys.
Does anyone know of a website I could go to see examples of breakbeats, like the amen. Something that would look like :
SNARE: ---- X--- ---- X---
KICK : X--- ---- --X- ----
Or if some one wanted to be really cool could show me something like that for the amen. And I also wanted to know why you guys always request breaks? Do you guys sample them in your own projects?

Sorry for the noob questions but thanks for any help. ;)

big up naomi :sixty_nin
she didn't beat laura elena harring in mulholland drive though, but their intimate scene made it the best movie ever innit

AHEM anyway, to see how breaks are programmed, you better take a look at one in a wave editor (cool edit, wavelab), cut it up in pieces and load them in a sequencer. adjust the bpm and start playing around

simon v did a pretty inspiring peice on famous breaks, where he breaks them down so to speak with midi patterns, individual drumhits and mp3 clips. i think its here but check doa if you cant find it.
