Noob Speaker Question ...

I wanna get some new speakers for my home set up, but I don't know what to look for.

I've got some standard speakers that came with my stereo, they're pretty loud, but they aren't the best quality, and they sound crap when I increase the bass. They connect to the stereo with bare wires that you have to twist and clip into the back. I don't want ridiculously loud speakers, I just want a bit better quality and more bass.

1. Should I get new speakers, or just a subwoofer?

2. Do I need active or passive speakers?

3. Which speakers have got the same connectors?

tbh id say you need a new amp or stereo as well as speakers, either that or a pair of decent actives

the majority of passive speakers (for home use) connect like that.... but just buying speakers would only fix half the problem


whats your budget??
