i bin mixin for a little while now!
and i never use the cross fader...

i find i can mix drum n bass better without it...

should i be using it ? or am i fine without it ?

go with what ever feels good man, i an not a cross fader basher me self, i find u get more control on the up faders, but there is no right or wrong way dude, go with what feels good innit.

ive always personally thought channel faders are the way forward for most mixing as your adding and subtracting from a mix which allows for a better blend rather than just switching but like said above it depends on the type of mixing your doing.

channel faders for mixing and blending and crossfader for cutting and chopping.

But sometimes the channel faders are good for cutting, so its up to you, depends how deep you need to cut lol

Surely tho, if you are using more than 2 channels, then you will have to use the Y faders, for 3 or more deck mixes, unless you want a defined cut between 2 channels. A 3 deck mix with just an x fader would just not work
