new track 'MAYBE' -- pls feedback

salve! here is my week's output .. far from perfect, just had a listen after export and found already 5 things ...

anyway, wanted to make a fairly simple track with compact & solid drums + a heavy multilayer bass line.
my aim was the track should survive without many FX (risers, downers, etc) ... drive on its own ...
it does rock on my system .. how about yours?

Hi Machinistom Nice bass that comes in at 0.24 seconds, what kind of bass is it eg how do you make? Nice and different variety of sounds and nice end section think that sound the best section. A friendly kind of vibe your going for in this. Btw that deadmau5 remix you've done is wicked!!

thanks gabs! the bass is a 4 layer: 3 instances of massive and 1 of serum playing the same notes (sometimes on/off).
however, they're all processed in the different way, heavily EQed and filtered, with some distortion added, and glued together in a bus.

Great vibe here. Maybe the vocal could stand out more, not sure what exactly but something could be stronger with the vocal here... to perhaps give the vibe a bit more organic feel with perhaps a bit more "soul" coming through. Love your stuff as usual!

love the vocals, the beat is awesome! I would love to give you some production notes but I don't think I'm quite seasoned enough but I really like it as a tune.

Hey Machinistom, I can tell you've been putting some serious time in the studio! the production quality of your latest tracks has been rising!

Mixdown wise, I can't say there's anything that stands out particularly (it all sounds good to me on my HS8's)

Drums I like a lot, they are really coming through nicely (love that shuffle) I think the change of drum patterns did throw me off at first but I know you're always trying to do something different and I eventually got to like the changes.

I like those vocals a lot also, they sound nice and crisp.

Overall I like the vibe on this one a lot, the musical side of it really works well!

hey james, thanks as lot! relieved finally someone sees my progress in producing
to tell the truth, I've got less time to produce these days which pushes me to make music faster.
if a track isn't close to ready after 2-3 evening session it goes to the bin, not looking at it again.
it's a good way to work focus and work very goal oriented, I recommend it.
glad to know you like this track and u can see what i was aiming for, cheers buddy!
