Not sure what sub-genre I should classify this but it has elements of lots of different types of DnB. It's called "Majestic", and it's the last tune on my Myspace player. Check it out if you want at: www.myspace.com/musicswitchblade

    Cheers guys

It's more like oldskool hardcore. The kicks are a plenty, you could strip some of them off, less is more imo. Try to layer a sine 1 octave lower than your bass to give it that proper oomph.

If you aim to do some drum and bass, try to strip down your tune into just that: drums and bass. Then make them as loud, punchy, crispy and powerful as you can. Then you can start adding the flavour in there. That's a good way to practice sonic improvement.

ye strip down the drums, they sound well jumbled. melody is cool bit retro sounding, like it. when u take out those kicks around the 2.40 mark it sound miles better!

Drums are a little mad mate. Synths are very breakbeat or 80's hiphop style.
The sample reminds me of thriller.
This sounds like an 80s computer game to me mate. Suggest you go and listen to some uptodate dnb and emulate what you hear.
    keep it up fella

I wouldn't tone them down. tone up, but strip the action a bit. They are in the background too much, cant even hear what is going on in there.
